Opportunities Ahead
I'd like to give you a sense of what lies ahead for AAANZ. We are grateful for our mission together... placing Jesus, community and reconciliation at the centre of our faith, life and work.
FOCUS - articulating and communicating our story The AAANZ website tells the Anabaptist story in plain English. You can listen to podcasts and view the U-tube movie - Story of the Anabaptists. OWNERSHIP - growing and sustaining our network Membership of AAANZ includes extra benefits. There is a member's only page on the web site and Members Hospitality Directory and Prayer Diary.
Members in Australia and New Zealand can join free phone-chats with interesting guest speakers. Table fellowships around a meal make the phone-chats even more enjoyable. The AAANZ home base for Mark and Mary Hurst in Mona Vale, Sydney, offers hospitality. Mark and Mary extend the reach of the network in their travels around Australia and New Zealand.
CONFERENCE - CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION? AAANZ is co-hosting with Australian Evangelical Alliance and Ethos a conference on atonement, nonviolence and abuse in Melbourne on 21 and 22 May 2010. Passionfest 2010 was held near Waikanae on the North Island in February 2010. AAANZ workers Mary and Mark Hurst helped lead workshops. The biennial AAANZ Conference will be held in New Zealand before the start of Passionfest in February 2011. NEW PARTNERS IN MISSION AAANZ is forging a partnership with Mennonite Mission Network.
